A Note from Ann Baker

May 18, 2008 by Tara Lacher

Pinkscarves_2 Hi Tara, I wanted to let you know about my pink scarves.  I started making them after seeing your website and was going to mail them to you.  My 87 yr old Mother and I were crocheting and knitting away, when some of the girls here at Gore wanted them to wear in the walk for Breast Cancer last Sunday.  I gave them 10 scarves and asked them to give them to survivors when the race was over.  They did and it was such an emotional time for them.  They have thanked me for giving them the scarves and sent me more yarn.  I now have my 9 yr old granddaughter crocheting.  She started last night and has over 4 inches done all ready.  Below is the picture of the girls in the walk before they gave their scarves away.  I am thankful for your brother, letting us know about your ministry to woman.  We will be sending you some scarves as soon as we have some left.  We seem to be giving them out as fast as we make them.  Thanks again and I will be in touch again.
