Remembering Peggy Morgen

September 6, 2008 by Tara Lacher

I lost someone special on September 2, 2008.  Her name was Peggy Morgen and she died after a courageous battle with cancer.  She was only 52 years old. I had the pleasure of meeting Peggy about a year ago.  I was attending a funeral and she came up to me after the service and asked if I was the “Pink Scarf Lady.”  I told her that I was and she asked if she could receive a scarf because she was battling cancer.  We visited for a while and I told her a scarf would be in the mail the very next day.  She sent me the most beautiful card and she couldn’t believe that a complete “stranger” cared so much for women who were battling cancer. I will always remember Peggy’s smile – it was contagious! Peggy, you will be missed.

From the first time we met, Peggy and I had a connection like none other. At times we didn’t need to speak words because we both just knew in our hearts. Our sons were room mates and insisted that we meet because they thought we would hit it off. I am so thankful that I was blessed with Peggy coming into my life. She was a great comfort to me in the loss of my son, Travis and I will treasure her words of encouragement always. Her faith was an example to all who struggle. Her smile is branded on my heart forever. RIP
    Becky

I would like to donate two scarves to two special women that have breast cancer. Would you be able to send them to me for me to give to them?
