Martha Stewart Living’s Dreamers Into Doers Contest

A knitting friend of mine called and suggested that I enter Martha Stewart Living’s Dreamers Into Doers Contest. The contest was for women who have turned an idea or dream into a successful reality. Entrants submit an original essay describing an existing successful business venture or an organization the Nominee was instrumental in starting that benefits a local community. So I entered Hands to Hearts, Inc. and shared information about my project.
There will be one Grand Prize Winner and ten Finalists from the pool of Nominees and will be notified on or about August 11, 2008.
Keep your fingers and toes crossed……

Women’s World Magazine

On Tuesday, May 20, 2008, I received a call from Andrea, Senior Editor at Women’s World Magazine. We visited about the pink scarf project and she informed me that they are going to be runing the story in the July 28th issue of the magazine, which will be in the stores on July 21st. EXCITING!!
After I got off the phone I couldn’t sit still. I couldn’t believe it! Later in the day when the news starting sinking in, I realized how fortunate I was to have a website (that’s how Women’s World Magazine found my story). I have Scott Wild to thank for that. He volunteered his time and talent and put together a beautiful website and he’s been behind me every step of the way.
Thank you, Scott!! You’re such a wonderful friend and I’m blessed to have you in my life.
