I received an email from Alexis that I want to share.
She wrote;
“I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. When I went into MedCenter One this morning for my first oncological appointment, I was given a pink scarf that you had made. Not only did the scarf affirm that I had cancer; it affirmed that I had crossed some intangible divide and taken my first steps towards treating it. I want to thank you for your kindness and dedication to My Pink Scarf. I believe that this is the first time I have ever cried at receiving a gift. Clearly its significance goes far beyond the yarn that it is made of. While perhaps I should wear it, I have decided to put it in a prominent place, so that each day it will bring me cheer each day as I move toward recovery.”
Thank you Alexis!
